Quality Assurance Figure

Quality Assurance Program

This summary is a snapshot of the steps that IHRC takes on a project-by-process basis to perform the work of quality assurance on each contract. The rigor of this process provides a roadmap and guidelines internally and gives our clients confidence that the work is being performed according to industry standards and practices. The Quality Assurance Manager oversees this process from start to finish and provides guidance to each project manager along the way.

During initial project planning, it is the responsibility of the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to review the approved approach and to ensure that it complies with the IHRC process frameworks and other process standards. This includes client and regulatory standards identified in the Project Charter. If the project uses other processes the Quality Assurance Manager will work with the Project Manager to map them to the IHRC framework(s) to ensure that they comply with the organizational standards.

The Quality Assurance Manager works with the Project Manager to determine what QA activities shall be performed on the project and the frequency of those activities. The QA Manager and the Project Manager work together to plan, coordinate, negotiate, and schedule QA activities throughout the project life cycle. The QA Manager will use the documented organizational process to objectively evaluate both process and product quality based upon criteria including, but not limited to:

  • Life Cycle
  • Customer Needs
  • Project Maturity
  • Resource Allocations
  • Project CI List
  • Contract/Project Size
  • Deliverable Products
  • Historical Data

Our processes are repeatable and center around continuous improvement. We begin by gathering project level process information and perform QA planning for each individual project. We understand that every engagement is different; therefore, we tailor our QA process assets for the specific needs on each project. We continue by monitoring the process/product development and analyze results of the QA activities consistently. The QA Manager and Project Manager work closely together to consistently manage findings and report on QA findings to all stakeholders.
